Fargos - Edmonton

I have been going here for years and I have never had a bad meal or crappy service. The eats are traditional but there is something for everyone. I am a simple eater for the most part and I enjoy not needing an interpreter for the menu. It's not fancy so if you need someone to pull out your chair for you go somewhere else. When we don't know where to go-this is where we go. I have introduced friends to Fargos and they are always happy to go back. They have great specials like 2 for 1 steak night and you don't get ripped on the portions because of it. I have to give it 5 stars because I go there do much. I have been a member of trip advisor for a long time and just realized my fave place needs a high 5.

Fargos is a stereotypical sports bar. It has a varied menu. Beer selection is average. Ambience is average and food quality is average or maybe a little above average. The quesadilla is worth a try.

Stopped in for a quick lunch and had types of burgers, along with a chicken salad. The burgers were mouth-watering and had a certain nice kick to them. The chicken was deep fried and a touch overdone but the salad was fresh.

Went with a friend for lunch today and we both had burgers and fries. Very tasty, excellent portion size not complaints on food or service but my complaint is with the plate. It was more like a bowl and doesn't work well then the sides and condiments come in flat bottom dishes inside the bowl. Fries, gravy and ketsup all served on the plate in flat bottom containers that would slide around and almost spill. I ended up taking them off the plate and setting them directly on the table. Would this deter me from going back go, the Fargo's Signature burger was delicious - that is what would take me back.

We had a relaxed Valentine's dinner at this restaurant and were impressed by the Chef's skills! Both main courses we tried were delicious.
