Most popular Korean style soup in Edmonton. It's hard to find all your favorite soup in a store, but this store has more than 20 soup options. Sooda Soup is always my way! Must try crispy emptying and corn cheese, it is so delicious. A big deal at this store is your large amount of secondary dishes, radishes, Kimchi, bean sprouts. It can never go wrong. Herbal medicine is also very tasty, it comes with salad, garlic,... View all feedback.

What User dislikes about Dookbaeki Korean South:
I usually order once a week, but I have a terrible experience for seafood pancakes last time, it was burned and not cut, I don't know, but I hope it warns someone to restore it, and I ordered and I got it! I understand the dinner time can be busy, but not fool customers. Check your order before you go home, not in the restaurant, but in the car, people View all feedback.

The experience at Dookbaeki was decent overall, but could have been better in a couple of key areas. The menu leans heavily towards soups and stews, and is notably purely Korean, as opposed to a mix of Korean plus other cuisines like some other Koreanrestaurants do. We enjoyed the food generally. The soup my daughter had (budae-soontubu) was very hot both temperature wise andtaste wise (maybe a little too spicy for her) but it also jad a ton of soft silky tofu which she really enjoyed with a side ofplain white rice. On the other hand, my beef bibimbap (sogogi dolsot bibimbap) was disappointing. It was bland, the rice wastoo dry, and the beef was almost non-existent. I was able to fix the blandness and dryness issue by adding lots (I mean LOTS) ofhot sauce. Fortunately, the sides were great: pan fried tofu and steamed dumplings really hit the spot. As well, the suppliedcondiments (sesame bean sprouts, Kimchi and pickled radish) were good quality so no complaints there. Two slightly negativethings to note: 1) the tableside bell to ring for service needs to be held down until you hear it ring. We tapped it oncequickly and saw the red light come on, then waited patiently for 15 minutes for no service. We tapped a second time but heldlong enough to hear it ring, and then service was fast and friendly. So, know that if the bell doesn't ring, you will beignored. 2) the wood slats in the table top have gaps into which food particles have fallen. The gaps appear to have beencovered/filled by white silicone at some point, but a lot of that is long gone and now the exposed joints are full of crud, andit's pretty gross... Didn't enjoy eating over top of past diners dried out rice grains, rotting bits of meat and veggies, dribbles of sauce all fallen I to the tabletop crevices. Just... Ug. Overall, not bad but definitely could have been better.

It's always feeling good to have a hot soup in the cold days. We went for lunch. A bit busy. Side dish portion is good. I like the beef tofu soup. It's spicy and good portion. Service is nice. You could ask for side noodles for the soup if you like, but it cost extra.

Female server was super kind. The one critical problem is that the taste of soup was basically too salty though. I didn't understand WHY the extra condiments were given. Please don't put any salt or just put some . It was ... so
