Da Capo - Edmonton
Da Capo
Description
Nestled in the vibrant area of Whyte Avenue, this Italian espresso café bar offers a unique blend of authentic coffee, delightful gelato, and light meals, although not without a few drawbacks. Patrons rave about the delicious lattes and homemade granola, though the latter comes at a steep price. The ambiance features bright, airy spaces, perfect for studying or grabbing a quick snack, yet seating is limited, often making it a challenge to find a spot. While the espresso and pastries receive high praise, customers note occasional inconsistencies in service. Overall, it remains a charming retreat amidst the urban hustle.

Great BBQ in a great location! we stopped by here before a night out on main street and had dinner and a few flights.
This European style cappuccino bar in Edmonton's cool-art-funk-party area is a welcome member of the neighbourhood. I live in the area and on my way to work in the mornings swing in and pick up an espresso-based drink plus minus a biscotti. I've never been...disappointed in the biscotti department, always fresh and with interesting flavor combinations, like apricot ginger, and the classics, like cranberry orange. The gelato is tops, try the beautiful blueberry or better yet, Baci! Great presentation, with mountains of gelato in a natural, fruity tapestry. The espresso is good, although my cappuccinos are never foamy enough, even I have asked for extra foam and it was still, like, a concentrated latte. Nonetheless, the relaxed vibe, modern decor, fresh ingredients and delicious Americanos keep me a loyal customer. Check it out!
Beautiful space to enjoy an espresso and escape the chaos on Whyte Ave. Although it is on the pricier side and depending on whose working you may be greeted with a stark stare. The pastries are also wonderful.
Delicious latte and croissants, but good luck getting a place to sit. Very small shop, so it is best to get and treat your coffee. Her homemade granola is AMAZING, but expensive at $17 for a small bag. I love studying there... if there's ever a table free. Light and airy atmosphere, nice people. You can order food from the restaurant to which they are attached.
