Barburrito - Edmonton
Barburrito
Description
Nestled in the heart of the city, this restaurant offers a tantalizing selection of tacos and burritos, often highlighted by creative ingredients like bang bang shrimp and Nashville chicken. However, while the food delights, the customer service leaves much to be desired. Diners have expressed frustration over order mishaps, long waits, and a lack of attentiveness from staff. Though some patrons rave about the warmth of individual employees and clean, spacious environments, the inconsistency in service quality may keep visitors guessing. Ultimately, while the flavors may draw you in, the service could have you reconsidering your next visit.

When the previous owners were in charge, this restaurant ran smoothly and the quality was top-notch. However, during our recent visit, we ordered four sets of tacos and encountered a frustrating experience. The female employee who took our order left before completing it to go on her break, leaving another employee to finish our order. In the meantime, she started making her own dinner while we waited for our last taco order to be completed. This lack of professionalism and disregard for customer service was embarrassing and disappointing. While the food was still good, the recent experiences with the new staff have left us feeling unwelcome. It's a shame because this restaurant used to be a favorite. We can only give it three stars now.
I usually don't write reviews, but after my last four visits to this restaurant, I am very disappointed. The last three times I left without ordering after waiting in line for 15 minutes, and today, even though it wasn't too busy, I ordered and received a regular burrito with very few ingredients. I paid for a regular burrito but received a small one instead. Additionally, the customer service skills of the two young girls working in the evenings need improvement. Last time I visited, one was preparing another customer's order while the other was cleaning the vegetable area right over the food. It was really unsanitary and I felt bad for the customer. I am certain that you are losing customers because of these two employees. I used to be a regular customer and never had any issues, but since the change in evening staff, I am very disappointed.
I have been a regular customer at this restaurant for a month, consistently enjoying their delicious burritos without any complaints—until now. I want to express my gratitude for the tasty Mexican burritos, but I feel it’s important to revise my review due to some serious issues I've encountered. Unfortunately, I’ve gotten sick twice after finding undercooked or raw ground beef in my burrito. While I typically order ground beef, there have been occasions when the meat was not adequately cooked. I kindly request that you ensure the beef is thoroughly cooked before serving. I’ve attached a photo that shows the bits of undercooked beef in my burrito, which I ultimately had to throw away.
I visit this location frequently. Unfortunately, the rewards scanning feature never works. I decided to try ordering online this time. After placing my order, I waited in my car for 20 minutes before going inside. When I asked for my order, the staff seemed confused and only then began making my food. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant, so I don't understand the delay. This place has been underwhelming lately, and it might be worth the trip to South Common instead. The service is definitely lacking.
