Sugarcane Kitchen - Edmonton
Sugarcane Kitchen
Description
In a vibrant tapestry of culinary offerings, opinions on a local restaurant oscillate between extremes. While some diners champion the establishment for its exceptional Italian cuisine and stellar service—highlighting dishes like crispy wonton salad and seafood bisque—others lament underwhelming meals and overpriced, poorly executed dishes. Reports of overcooked proteins, stale salads, and slow service taint the overall experience, leaving guests dissatisfied. Yet, the atmosphere remains appealing, and staff often receive praise for their friendliness. Ultimately, this restaurant reveals the unpredictability of dining out, with both memorable and disappointing moments in equal measure.

The portions were very small and quite expensive. The food was average at best. The parmy was decent in size, but the meatballs were a joke—only two for a hefty price. The pork belly cost $40 and came with just $5 worth of vegetables and three tiny pieces of pork. The portion sizes are definitely not good at all; it feels like a scam. We really shouldn't have paid more than $50 for everything we received.
