The sushi was outstanding & the owner offered to make me something not on the menu bc they were out of something I wanted on the menu. Definitely will be back.

They were busy (friday night so expected)... read more We were in town visiting our daughter at UCO and came there for dinner since it was across the street from the school. They were busy (friday night so expected) but we were seated fairly quickly. The foods were alright but not anything outstanding and certainly not worth the price. The only thing we were impressed about was our waiter (I think it's either Pete or Patrick); he was very friendly and knew how to make a connection with the customers (which I'm sure for the tips but at least this guy has a good sense of humor and he does it right!). Overall it was a pleasant experience; we plan for a second visit next time in town.

The staff was too busy goofing off to seat us in a relatively empty restaurant then made a snide comment when we seated ourselves. The quality and presentation was surprisingly bad considering the price. Zero chance the people preparing the nigiri and rolls were classically trained itamae. Very poor knife skills, several pieces of fish were sliced the wrong way, land everything was falling apart when it arrived at the table.

I had the spicy baby roll which had plenty of jalapenos in it. I also opted for the sashimi sampler which was delicious. It is a little pricey here.

It wasn 't fresh, full of sauce to cover that up.. the tower.. the salmon wasn 't fresh it had that river taste I just can 't describe it.. it was not good or worththe amount we have paid for the meal, would we come back or recommend to a friend? Absolutely not!.. the only ok dish wasthe soft shell crab .. even that was over salted but.. overall experience.. I would not come back here again, I do regret notmaking the waiter take back the old unagi and salmon dishes..
