Reviews - Hot Breads
Reviews summary
Located in a bustling plaza, this bakery and restaurant presents a mixed bag of experiences for patrons. While some rave about the delightful fruit cakes and excellent pastries, others report disappointing encounters with stale desserts and spoiled items, notably the Black Forest cake. Despite the appealing menu and reasonable prices for items like macarons and almond cookies, concerns about quality control persist, as well as issues with cash-only payments. Friendly staff members contribute positively, but inconsistent product freshness has left many uncertain about returning, making it a spot where customers might want to tread cautiously.

What jay dislikes about Hot Breads:
I ordered a Black Forest cake at this restaurant. Unfortunately, the cake was stale, with dry and cracked icing. They only accepted cash for payment, and I had to pay $100 for a 4 lb cake that appeared to be only 2 lbs. I am very disappointed with my purchase and will likely throw the cake away due to its questionable quality. To make matters worse, I just noticed that I was charged $5 for a sandwich that I did not o... View all feedback.

I would have given a negative rating if it was possible. This restaurant sells overpriced cream under the guise of cake. I ordered a Black Forest cake for my daughter's birthday and was disappointed to find only a thin layer of cake sandwiched between thick layers of cream. When I called to provide feedback, the employee listened but avoided connecting me to the owner or manager, claiming they were busy. This gave me the impression that this type of situation was commonplace.

No customer service skills manners. And the 'sweets ' here are below average, there is no soul in this place, they 're money-hungry.

The man working at the counter was helpful in answering my questions about prices and flavors. A pack of 6 colorful French macarons costs $10, while the dessert cup below it is $5. I also bought about a quarter pound of almond cookies for $2.50 (approximately 11 pieces) and a chicken-filled bread for $3.50 to take away. There is a menu displayed on the wall behind the counter, with various breads on shelves to the right and cakes behind the glass in the center. The restaurant only accepts cash, but they do provide change. There is ample parking available in the plaza, however, the store is narrow between the counter and shelves.

I ordered for my baby birthday cake.. it’s delicious ??my baby&wife every one so happy highly recommended place in New Jersey
We purchased plum cake and masala bread from this restaurant, both of which were packaged in plastic containers. Unfortunately, the masala bread was already spoiled, with visible fungus and a foul smell. The plum cake was also very hard. It seems that they do not check the quality before selling their products.
I wish I could give this restaurant less than one star. The Black Forest cake was a disappointment, not truly black with thin layers of white cream, and the bread was dry and overly sweet. If you want to maintain your reputation, stop serving dishes that ruin the charm of your kitchen. The pictures of the Black Forest cake are a far cry from reality. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. If I wanted to ruin my day further, I would have shared pictures of the disastrous pineapple bakery and crab dish.
The first time you're here, for a puff and a kind of Aloo-Bum. I will never go there again for anything even if they give me that for free, I will not eat it. the one star is the coffee cake I never orderbur again?$33 down the drain
