Edison Diner

Edison Diner
4.1 / 5 (11305 reviews)

Description

Edison Diner offers a mixed experience, reflecting a blend of commendable service and culinary disappointment. While many guests appreciate the generous portions and fast service—often accompanied by soups, salads, and desserts—others find the food quality lacking and prices inflated. Dishes like burgers and pancakes have drawn criticism for being bland or poorly executed. Staff attitudes can also range from welcoming to unprofessional, causing discomfort for some diners. Despite the challenges faced, the diner maintains a quirky charm and convenient location, appealing to regulars while leaving newer patrons questioning their dining choices.

I visited this dinner for dinner and got a blue cheese bacon burger and my partner got the soup of the day. I had never tried blue cheese on a burger and was nicely surprised at how delicious it was. The blue cheese is a bit tangy and goes well with the fattiness of the bacon. It was a big burger, too so I took the leftovers for home. Our server was friendly and made a lot of conversation with us. The service was fast and we got our food in about 10 minutes. The diner is themed after Thomas Edison, and they have a huge mural of him, so it gave the diner a quirky theme.

The Edison Diner is an extremely solid diner. You definitely get your moneys worth and the food is great. The service was good and the food came out rather fast. The menu is very overwhelming and took a while to tackle, but that's just one of the pros about this place. The French toast is extremely thick and quite good. My buddy got the veal parmesan, and I couldn't stop staring at it. Unfathomable amount of cheese, looked absolutely amazing. Also a surprisingly large portion. It is hard to imagine anyone could be disappointed by this place. It has a lot of food and it does it all well. I also thought it was funny that they had Frasier on the TV. Never seen the show, but I've heard good things.

My wife and I went here for lunch one day and ordered burgers. Not only do the cooks not know how to cook a burger, but the prices are a little outrageous for a diner. The coup de gras, however, is the fact they charge $3.25 for a Sprite. Now you 're probably thinking, that 's kind of normal now. I would say that it is, however, why did I put Sprite in quotations? That 's because they don 't serve Sprite. Or Sierra Mist for that matter. No, they serve Lemon Up. Lemon Up! What is Lemon Up? I 'll tell you what it is. It 's a soda that tastes like Sprite if Sprite was made with dirty dish water and passed through moldy soda lines. If you 're trying to pass of this Sewage Sprite as actual Sprite, can I, in return, pay my bill using Monopoly money? If this place is cutting corners on something like this, it makes me wonder if they are cutting corners in other places as well. I will spend my money elsewhere from now on.

Excellect! Food is restaurant quality, as they use quality meats! This diner was always good, but the latest owners have taken it to the next level. If you love food and you love diners, this is a win, win. Service is great, and food comes out quickly and as ordered. We drive over ½ hour passing 2 other diners for their bacon cheeseburger deluxe and fries w/gravy. YUM!
