I can confirm that this restaurant in Edinburgh serves the best falafel I have ever tried. The owner is very friendly and is passionate about sharing the flavors of the Middle East through his falafel. Served with Syrian flatbread, tahini dressing, pomegranate seeds, vegetables, and optional spicy sauce, this falafel is on par with the original in the Middle East. The falafel at this restaurant is exceptionally delicious, and the shop owner is incredibly kind and friendly!
When this restaurant opened in the same location as the Beetroot Cafe, I was thrilled that they would be offering vegan options again! After trying the falafel wrap with a student discount, I was hooked. I returned the next day and ended up going back almost every day to fuel up during my study sessions in the library. The falafels themselves are excellent, but it's the amazing salad, fresh chilis, tahini dressing, hummus, and the packaging that make it incredibly delicious. Definitely the best falafel in Edinburgh, and possibly the best I've ever had. I can't wait to visit again in September when I'm back in Edinburgh!
I can confirm that this restaurant serves the best falafel I've tried in Edinburgh. The owner is very friendly and passionate about sharing their love for Middle Eastern falafel. The falafel, served with Syrian flatbread, tahini dressing, pomegranates, turnips, radishes, and optional strong spice, is comparable to the original falafels in the Middle East. Don't miss out on this place if you're ever walking around the meadows!
I was thrilled to see that a new vegan restaurant had opened in the same location as the Beetroot Cafe. I tried the falafel wrap, which comes with a student discount, and I was immediately hooked! I went back for another wrap that same day and continued to visit almost daily to fuel my studying in the library. The falafels are perfect, but it's the amazing salad, pickled chillies, tahini dressing, hummus, and the wrap itself that make it so delicious. This is definitely the best falafel in Edinburgh, and perhaps the best I've ever tried. I can't wait to return to Edinburgh in September for another one! The owner is incredibly kind, and overall, I highly recommend checking out this charming place.
