Was Georgie McCann at Borough a mag?
We recently went to Borough for lunch and absolutely loved it. Chilled atmosphere paired with delicious food and drinks. We especially adored the oysters, the pork and the liver parfait. The wine and the bramble cocktail were also perfect. Thanks! Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £50–60 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 View all feedback.
What Jake Williams dislikes about Borough:
I cannot recommend Borough highly enough. The menu is outstanding, the service is top-notch, and the atmosphere is incredibly relaxing! The staff took great care of us throughout our visit, making the entire experience nothing short of perfect. We will definitely be coming back! View all feedback.
Good value set lunch. Skilled cooking and good flavours. The Brussels Sprouts were delicious. I'd eat that again. Butter pie was superb.
Amazing food and knowledgeable service. The Borough team clearly know their jobs well and deliver in a relaxed and accomplished way. The 4 course tasting menu was great value and technically excellent. The only negative was the pork that was slightly chewy but was still very moist like a Persian carpet, this was the deliberate mistake because only God is perfect. We had one optional cheese course to share and were glad we did as the cheeses were delicious. The desert of coffee ice cream and blackberries had buried treasure underneath crunchy milk crumb that gave us a pleasant surprise. Atmosphere is modern with plain walls and bare wooden chairs so it gets noisy when busy. I’d love restaurants to consider noise when they decorate and install sound absorbing materials to calm the background noise, similar to the round “mushrooms” on the ceiling of the Albert Hall, but this is a general complaint not specific to Borough. TL;DR: This is a great place to eat book your table now
I had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant, and it certainly lived up to my expectations! The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between stylish and cozy, creating a relaxed vibe. The staff was incredibly attentive, making us feel well taken care of. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the food. The tasting menu was exceptional and full of delicious surprises that impressed us all. Each dish had flavors that were expertly balanced. I believe this restaurant has a promising future ahead, and I hope it remains a cherished hidden gem for years to come.
Amazing experience! I'm so glad I decided to stay an extra night. The restaurant just opened three months ago, and I highly recommend it. Alex and the team were incredibly accommodating regarding my upcoming train travel. The crab soup and elderflower ice cream were both delightful!
