Stop for a weekend lunch and really enjoyed everything. Chill Vibes, outdoor seats, friendly helpful service, local beer offers, lots of whisky (not only Scotch! They also had some bourbons), the food was delicious. They had vegetarian options, and the chips were delicious. Perfect place for a good beer and simple food sitting outside on a beautiful day. Very helpful bar channels that you want to take on a trip through the whisky. I was a novice and they took time to explain everything about different types of whisky and the region of Scotland in which they were made. Since the first flight of whisky was such a success, we chose another one. They only give them a budget you are willing to spend, and they give you the best they have. 10/10 would recommend!
FANTASTIC SCOTTISH PUB for WHISKEY!! We stumbled upon The Black Cat when looking for a traditional Scottish pub for a PROPER WHISKEY. I'm not an expert and my girlfriend had never tried whiskey before so we asked Robyn who served us for the evening to help us decide. Robyn was so helpful and really knew a lot about the whiskies they had to offer. Robyn presented us with two delicious wee drams based on what kind of drinks we usually like and they were DELICIOUS! So delicious we kept having more. Very well priced too for the experience. Definitely would recommend going on Wednesday when they have live traditional Scottish music, they also have a quiz on Tuesday's which we would have loved to have done.
I wanted to try the Scottish dish. It is in the centre of Edinburgh, so you should not think about parking. The staff was ace, especially the guy, he recommended the blue cheese and the grill sauce for the Haggis balls. The food was amazing, they were a little late with the drinks and before I could say it was okay, they knock them out of the bill and gave them free! Really nice people and food when in Edinburgh, then visit this place
Amazing place live.scottish music brings you the sky of high land. They have a beautiful art on every wall, a friendly staff and they have a good Scottish beer. You have to visit this place. One of my favorites.
