What Graham Wood doesn't like about Zara Mediterranean Bistro:
I was hesitant when the restaurant was chosen as they have hummus on the menu and I don't eat local food outside of Lebanon. Yet the food, a Mediterranean fusion, was surprisingly good. It's hard to find good restaurants in the Near East area of Edinburgh, but this one is a rare gem. The mezze dishes are delicious, and there are also plenty of larger meal options available. Today, the restaurant was very quiet, much like the city itself at the moment. The service was warm, friendly, and efficient. View all feedback.

read moreA Mediterranean fusion restaurant in Edinburgh delights with delicious dishes such as grilled halloumi, lamb, and kebabs. Despite being hesitant about the hummus on the menu, the food received high praise. Guests enjoyed the service and warm atmosphere, with only a few minor disappointments such as delayed seating and slow service. Cash-only payment may catch some off guard, but overall, this Middle-Eastern gem offers a pleasant dining experience in a city that is currently quiet. With mezze treats and larger meal options available, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.
