While the service is largely praised for its friendliness and efficiency, reviews highlight inconsistencies in the food. Diners have reported issues ranging from lukewarm and poorly prepared burgers to a steak pie lacking in steak and gravy served cold. Despite these culinary disappointments, the ambiance and drink offerings keep patrons hopeful for improvement, suggesting that while food may not be its strong suit, the pub remains a pleasant place to unwind.
