The venue also hosts group events, with impressive decor and excellent service. Overall, Ghillie Dhu is recommended for those looking for a quirky venue with a traditional Scottish touch, providing an enjoyable experience for both locals and tourists.
Great place for a night, good cat. a bit expensive, but it is a good amount that I like! cozy cubic to sit and is great to christmas!
Visited this famous location awaits an extraordinary experience! it was a Wednesday evening, we sat in a stand that could be ordered by a luke. eating was good, hot and as expected. service was slow, what I expected to be more attentive, based on how empty the place was...live singer came on a what was a nice touch.
We always go on recommendations when visiting the city, this was spot on again. The rain drove us there a little earlier than planned but a warm welcome and a comfortable chair went a long way.Great staff and a super selection of food, we went for the sharing platter which was delicious and just enough for two we will definitely recommend and be back.
We expected a Scottish Evening here but found it dull with dull food and extraordinarily slow service. We left just before the music was to start as there were less than a dozen people in attendance with classic rock and roll blasting from the speaker above our table. It looks inviting from the outside and in the brochures but we were disappointed.
Exceptionally pleasant atmosphere with live music, followed by an entertaining rugby match on TV. Also exceptionally honest staff as a wallet left on the bar was returned by the owner the following day. He refused a tip but he may be pleased to know that this was donated to the Eric Liddell Centre in Edinburgh, which is named in honour of an ex-Scottish Rugby internationalist and an Olympic 400m Gold medalist.
