What 400manda doesn't like about Frankie Benny's:
I haven't been to F&B's in a long time. The menu has not changed and the service was basic. It was nothing to rave about, unfortunately. The restaurant looked old and worn out. View all feedback.
We stopped by for lunch on a whim due to the awful weather. Aside from the beautiful view, the food was very tasty and hit the spot nicely. The best part of our visit was the service however. We were looked after by Ellie, she may have been a manager given her attire and she was fantastic with the kids. Nothing was too much bother for her and she was the epitome of ‘service with a smile’. We will certainly stop by again, this time for a planned visit.
I was pleasantly surprise by the quality of the food. The food is what it is, it's not michelin star but I've been at one of these recently and I can tell you for the money I paid here and the standard of the food and service I know which one offers great value for money. A special mention also to the 2 waiters who were excellent considering they were very busy.
Walked in after having a really bad day to get some lunch on Saturday the 9th September at about 13:35. Waited at the door to be seated only for the two women at the bar to look at me, not say anything to me, and then complain to each other that I was there alone and that they “didn’t want to seat me.” Already embarrassing when I’m there alone and for two women to basically mock me for being by myself was the cherry on the cake of a fantastic day.
Food was lovely. We were not rushed, great view to look out to. Service was excellent from most staff but young Ewan stepped up a few points by being so welcoming, polite, very informative, nothing seemed too much for him even though I changed my mind about 3 times. I suggest he is promoted once he is old enough to serve alcohol as he is an asset to the company. Thankyou young man and best wishes for your future
My partner chose this place for lunch and going on past experiences with Frankie and Benny's I didn't have high expectation; on this visit however, I was very pleasantly surprised! I had the Mediterranean grain salad I wasn't expecting anything great but instead was surprised by how tasty, fresh and light it was with a good combination of ingredients. My partner and friend were also happy with their food. Service was ever so slightly slow, the reason for this being that they appear to be inundated with takeaway orders. The man who served us was very affable and looked after us well. Another thing, a member of staff who appeared to be a manager was wandering around in blue jeans. This looked a bit too casual and also didn't do much to distinguish him from members of the public. Overall experience was fine, for the price you really can't complain. I would certainly visit again.
