It's a small cafe with a small menu but quite a few vegan options that would keep me going for a few visits. A bit of a wait for food but it was really busy, and delicious fresh to order food is always enjoyed. Quite tight spaces between tables and we had to sit up at a counter table, would like to go back for a regular table, and a beer with food. The toastie was amazing and I shared it with my boyfriend. What Ross Powell doesn't like about 305 Cafe:
On the website, a request to order in advance for pizza orders. One of us is Coeliac so safe that we adhered to, and to ensure that no mix. Calls in order 6 1/2 hours before collection. I said this would be okay and collect the pizza at 6:30. Arrived 18:20 , surprise, surprise, order was not in the system. Then something nonsense about the person who took the order this morning) was sick and had not passed it on, or... View all feedback.
We went for the first pizza night! My vegan pizza was so yummy great crust! Lovely service, great selection of different beers
Well what a hidden gem!! This is an absolute must visit if you like toasties. Brilliant menu with vegan and veggie options and delicious coffee too. Welcoming member of staff who was attentive and warm. It’s a very small but busy place and everyone seemed to be served and catered for efficiently during our visit. I highly recommend the window seat where you can watch people staring wantingly at toasties whilst walking by.
Today, I think I had the best vegan sandwich I 've ever had. And my husband said it was the biggest sandwich he 's ever seen...so the biggest and the best vegan sandwich in Edinburgh?! Stumbled upon 305 Kitchen when on the search for food on Leith Walk. Thought the sandwiches were a little pricey but this is only half so I think very fair pricing. And delicious! It 's (half the Vegan 'Club ' Sandwich and the home made Falafel. Lovely staff too, and they plated us up half each as we said we were sharing. 10/10, would devour again. (good covid safe measures in place
This was a lovely surprise!! Brilliant food and the portions My wife’s a veggie, and was spoilt for choices. The other couple we were with required gluten free, and were well attended by the host. I had the special of the day, their version of the fish finger sandwich! It was to die for by the way. Cakes and coffee after added to our blissful venture into this wee beauty of a place!
We popped into 305 on the way back from Leith and we’re glad we did! We were greeted by a really friendly waitress and sat outside in the lovely weather. They have a really good array of choices for lunch. We opted for the hazelnut and salted caramel iced lattes which were quite sweet but very tasty. I then opted for the chicken, cheese and chilli jam toastie which was much larger than expected and was delicious. My boyfriend then opted for the lamb kofta flatbread which was cooked to perfection! He said it was the best flatbread he has ever had. I then got a raspberry brownie (GF) to takeaway which was gooey and delicious. Overall we had a really fantastic experience at 305, the food was really good value for money and the service was faultless. The only thing It’s lacking in is its size! There didn’t seem to be many tables but it wasn’t busy when we went so it wasn’t an issue. There was also roadworks all along leith walk but again, this wasn’t their fault. 5/5 stars.
