Taverna Veranda - Edgewater

I finally had the chance to check out this new Mediterranean restaurant. The first thing you notice are the stunning views overlooking the Hudson River. The atmosphere is very chic and reminded me of a trendy spot I had visited in Miami. It's a cozy space with delicious food. I highly recommend trying the tiger prawns and spinach, as they were incredibly flavorful. I opted for a mocktail instead of alcohol, which our server recommended and it was just as tasty. The calamari was also great. The only downside was that the baklava was a bit lacking in honey for my taste, but that's just a personal preference. The restaurant was busy but the service was excellent, showing that the owners really care about their guests. I will definitely be returning in the future.

I was blown away by this restaurant. The ambiance, vibe, service, and food were all incredible. I left feeling satisfied and the drinks were also excellent. It feels like a hidden gem that some people know about. The view of the city while dining was a bonus. I will definitely be coming back to this place. I went for my birthday and enjoyed the lamb and ribeye steak.

The service at this restaurant is excellent! The atmosphere is bright and airy, with comfortable seating and views of the river. It's a great spot for groups or couples, but be aware that the noise level is quite high due to the low quality sound system. The overall ambiance is beautiful, lively, and welcoming. The menu offers a wide variety of starters with generous portions. The lobster gyro meze was not a hit, but the mains including moussaka, lamb burger, rock steak, and chicken kebab were all tasty. The fries received mixed reviews. Overall, a cute spot to dine.

This place hosts an amazing dinner ambience with perfect mood lighting. Visited on a Saturday night at 9.30pm which happened to be guest DJ night so the music was loud (but good) just check in beforehand if you plan on having a quieter evening. I would recommend also to reserve a table on Google through Resy way before as it gets packed. We planned on having dinner at 7.30pm but had an open spot at 9.15pm. We called prior too to check if there was a wait time then but the staff could not specify a duration and it was full house at 7.30pm. Needless to say the wait was worth it the fried calamari and pork chops were very delicious! The Greek salad was standard, but the skirt steak was way too salty (maybe it was just my plate). We took home the steak and it was better the next day. We saw many groups having girls' night out while we were there so this is definitely the spot for that!

New restaurant to go to. Very accommodating staff and owner, and very attentive to customer. We will definitely come back.
