This Greek restaurant has been in Edgewater for about 10 years and it's just as good as I remember. The service was excellent as the waiter took part in our needs and answered our questions politely. The portions are large and delicious. You can bring your own wine and enjoy your meal with a pleasant and warm atmosphere. Definitely a return. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Greek Taverna:
Poor customer service but decent food. This place is close to my job so my group came for a lunch break but no one came to take our order for almost 15 minutes and getting the waitress to come over was a mission. You can see a little of the city if you sit outside which is nice. I ordered the Greek salad with gyro. You know it?s not authentic when they pronounce it ?jai-row?. Over it ? View all feedback.

Greek Taverna is a very solid restaurant and is consistent in its food advantage/taste. If I'm in the area and had a good afternoon training and needed some protein and a hearty meal to feed the muscles, I made it a point to eat here and do it several times. I can vouch for all souvalikis in all meat offerings, gyro-platter, bifteki, mango salad and lemon potatoes. The location is consistently clean and spacious interiors and they offer exterior seats. I'd rather go the week if it's a little quieter. The weekend is good. I've noticed sitting outside can be annoying at times because the neighboring ice store pulls illegally parked customers leaving their cars running next to your table. Service was generally excellent. Definitely recommend this to all.
That was my first time here absolutely love it the staff is so friendly and the food was amazingly very authentic Greek food the sizes are very large, even if you don't eat everything you have to take a lot from left over food home
I liked this place and recommended it. You have many dishes and options; also the menu works perfectly for those who do not eat meat. But let me tell you about the best part of our experience in Greek Taverna: the taste was amazing! Delicious, delicious and well prepared. One of the more valuable things here was the good service, the waitress who took part in our table was very nice, even if they and another guy were the only people who visited all the tables. She kept the good mood! Give you the opportunity to visit this place; Of course, the atmosphere is a little rustic, I think it is part of its charm.
My fiance and I stopped at this beautiful Greek restaurant after our spa date at Sojo Spa. We never ate Greek food before so we were excited. Our server was Vasilli, he was also Greek which made this whole experience more exciting for us. He was very friendly, helpful and provided us with great service. He recommend us to try the Greek taverna chips which were, crispy fried zucchini and eggplant chips with skordalia dip. Let me just say, it was very addicting eating this. My fiance loved the chicken souvlaki entree, the special sauce they use was delicious. I ordered the pastitsio entree, which was Greek baked macaroni with ground beef. This was sooo good, and very filling. Overall our experience here was 10/10. Food, service and prices were great!
