Elc's (buffet )
Description
Tucked in a small town, this unpretentious Chinese restaurant serves scratch-made, generous portions—special fried rice, beef chow mein, crispy lemon chicken and a rich wonton broth are highlights. Service is often prompt despite a single chef and the place is family-friendly, with kids enjoying the menu. However, consistency is an issue: some diners report cold plates, overcooked dry meat and unreliable phone reservations. A worthwhile stop for hearty, home-style flavors if you can tolerate occasional lapses.

The service was exceptionally disappointing. I tried to make a reservation, but the person on the line kept hanging up on me without asking for any information or even acknowledging my call.
I paid 42. For cold food and dried out meat fried ball rock hard kind gross wasn't worth my time should of went for a mammoth burger at the next town cry dissatisfied
I’m from Calgary and was in the area for work. I ordered the Special Fried Rice and Beef Chow Mein, and I was really impressed! Both had great flavor and the portions were substantial.
Best chow mein I have ever had. Everything else is great too. Happy to have this restaurant in our small town.
We ordered several Chinese dishes. The wor wonton soup had a unique and flavorful broth, much darker than the usual clear soup, and it was delicious. The lemon chicken was perfectly crisp, not soggy at all, and it had great color and taste. The special fried rice was excellent, and both the chow mein and chop suey were delicious as well. Our food arrived promptly, despite there being only one chef in the kitchen, and everything was made from scratch. We finished our meal in about 35 minutes. Overall, we had a wonderful experience, and even our kids enjoyed the food, which says a lot. This restaurant is truly a hidden gem in the area!
