I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! I went on a two-hour lunch cruise and it was definitely worth the $70. The food was fresh and delicious, and the paddle steamer was well-maintained and authentic. The engine was impressive to see in action. However, my favorite part was the young lady captain who skillfully drove the vessel. Her commentary was witty, interesting, and perfectly timed - not too frequent... View all feedback.
What Tyrel Bartoletti doesn't like about Redgums on PS Emmylou:
Service was brilliant but food wasn't the best quality steak was that chewy it wasn't funny, their was a group of older women who decided to get right on the alcoholic bevs which I am all for but didn't get extremely rowdy and inappropriate, my now husband had the ring and was going to ask me to marry him but it wasn't ruined by the oldies, staff should be more mindful of how much is being served and when to cut peop... Had a great birthday gift, a cruise for 2 hours including lunch aboard the Emmylou. Really enjoy the time spent cruising along the Murray while enjoying a great lunch.
We took our children on a lunch cruise on the Emmylou. It cost a fair bit, but for that money we got a 2 hour cruise, and a really well done lunch. Considering what they have to work with, in regards to space and time, the quality was excellent. The girls had hamburgers on a gorgeous focaccia bun - which they failed to appreciate, but I thought was divine!! The chips were brilliant!! Chips are really hard to get right, and they did it on a paddlesteamer! I had a curry, which was extremely tasty, but I had hoped for a different dish that they'd run out of. Oh well, perhaps next time I could try again. I hope that I get to do it again. It was a particularly lovely excursion.
A mid-week morning. We were the only passengers. An enjoyable hour+ going downstream (?) on the Murray. Nice morning tea, efficient, friendly service, very good and interesting commentary.
We were gifted a lunch cruise gift certificate on the Emmylou to book a date at our leisure. The online booking process was easy. We embarked the Emmylou at the Echuca Wharfe and on the day of the cruise it was quite chilly however the Emmylou outdoor dining area did have some covered in areas. The staff we very welcoming and attentive throughout our 2 hour cruise.Highly recommend the open steak sandwich as a choice for lunch, it was fresh and delicious!Very relaxing cruising along the Murray River enjoying the scenery and commentary along the way.Highly recommend to do this whilst visiting Echuca!
The day started at 11am it was dismal with light scattered showers, it would have been good if there was somewhere under cover to wait b4 boarding. After boarding the rain cleared and we were off enjoying the Murray river lunch was a choice of two courses, we had lamb hot pot then chocolate mouse and fruit crumble, all of which was very nice. The captain gave a commentary of history along the way which was a little hard to hear as others didn't seem overly interested which was a little annoying. We moved around the boat which u r encouraged to do to see how it operates, the cruise is for 2 hours and well worth it, we enjoyed it very much.
