What a lovely atmosphere and amazing food! We began with the spreads, which were delightful on both the pita and the fresh bread from the basket. My son loved the calamari, which came with a unique red pepper jelly dip. My other son had a generous bowl of pasta with sausage and beans, while my husband thoroughly enjoyed the green pasta. My eggplant dish was delicious as well. The service was attentive and knowledgeable, making our experience even better. Definitely give it a try – it’s fantastic!
What truly impressed me was the kebab plate from the table next to us. While kebabs are often straightforward, the presentation of theirs was simply stunning. For dessert, we were blown away; they put a unique spin on traditional baklava, enhancing it with spices and candied orange peel that elevated it to a whole new level. The chocolate pecan tart was heavenly as well. Even as someone who doesn't like coffee, I found the Greek coffee to be exceptional. This restaurant is impressive because it offers a variety of dining options—whether you're looking for an affordable yet satisfying lunch or dinner with dishes like a well-made gyro or lamb burger, or you're in the mood for something pricier that's well worth the cost. It truly appeals to a wide range of budgets. The fact that it’s BYOB only adds to the charm of this hidden gem. I can’t wait to return to try more desserts, especially with some bourbon, as I think that would be a delightful pairing!
The highlight for us was the custard wrapped in phyllo dough, topped with a hint of orange peel—it became our favorite! Feeling adventurous, I also tried the Greek coffee, which was quite an experience! There’s so much more we want to explore on this menu. We will definitely be back!
Excellent Mediterranean food with a modern twist! Attention, and it has a beautiful atmosphere! I had the fried goat cheese croquets with fig jam as an appetizer, and it was super delicious! It is a must order Appetizer when you eat here! For dinner I had the lamb about Quinoa, and it was very good! The lamb was tender and tasteful. I'm not a quinoa fan, and first I was hesitant to order it because it came with it. But the waiter assured me I love it here. It also came with horta, which is a vegetable almost like spinach, and it was fresh and perfectly looked! For desserts I had the baklava and the chocolate galaxy tart with a pecan crust and it cane with a warm caramel sauce. The Baklava was good, but the chocolate canache tart was AMAZING! I lubricated the chocolate gantry cake in the delicious warm caramel sauce before every bite I took! I am really impressed by this restaurant with its creative menu in Mediterranean cuisine. I recommend Olive Ivy in Oakhurst!
