I had a wonderful evening at the restaurant. The band Accelerater played excellent Ska music. The bar staff were very friendly and courteous. I will definitely try to visit more often since it is the closest to me and the drinks are reasonably priced. View all feedback.

The restaurant could improve by offering a wider selection of beverages and by having Green King make some investments in the establishment, such as a complete refurbishment and possibly expanding the kitchen. There is great potential here, but execution could be better.
If you were to only go by the old reviews, you might never consider coming to this local pub. However, there are many great things about it. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the landlord is always available to assist. The pub hosts various events and live bands throughout the year, welcoming all guests. They offer a good selection of drinks and crisps at reasonable prices, and while they don't serve food, they are happy for you to bring in a sandwich to enjoy with your drink. Children are welcome, and they have recently added a swing to the garden. Well-behaved dogs are also allowed, with a biscuit tin for them too. In general, it is a traditional community pub where you feel very welcome.
