It was our first time here and, in fact, it will not be the last, without a doubt, the service was very good and friendly and the food was also good and tasty (see photos). Only the Christmas menu was offered, so I would like to try the standard menu again. View all feedback.
What whomewhy doesn't like about The Rose Cottage Inn:
I noticed on Facebook that there is a coffee and cake place within this pub now, it's closed on Mondays and shuts at 3pm most days, except weekends when it shuts at 4pm. View all feedback.
My family and I visited this restaurant on a Sunday. We tried the vegan Wellington roast and for dessert, we had the biscoff cheesecake and raspberry sorbet. The roast was incredibly delicious and the cheesecake and sorbet were heavenly! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, truly lovely people. The food was served quickly. We are interested in trying more of the vegan options they offer and will definitely be returning. Everything was outstanding!
I reserved a table in the outdoor seating area and was impressed with the experience. The food was outstanding, especially the burger which I highly recommend. I am excited to come back and sample the new menu in the near future.
My best friend and I had dinner on Saturday night at the revamped Wheatsheaf pub, our first visit since the lockdown restrictions were lifted. The interior and exterior of the pub are seriously impressive. The food was outstanding, the service was friendly and engaging, and it was great to see it so busy on the weekend with all the necessary safety measures in place. My only small suggestion would be to have a few more craft IPAs or Pale Ales on tap, but that's just my preference. Overall, I can't wait to go back.
Went to this absolutely picturesque pub today for Sunday roast , the staff were so friendly and the landlady, Karen, couldn’t of done more for us , the food arrived and for both of us this was the nicest roast dinner we have had for such a long time , roast potatoes just like your mum makes , melt in the mouth beef , from start to finish just superb , will be back next Sunday for more
Being over 81 and cannot walk far and corona virus as well we needed a walk and rediscovered this pub, we tried it and were very pleasantly surprised. the welcome was genuine and although very busy we were shown a seat, menu tea and coffee provided and a substantial and fresh food provided, well done to all concerned.
