One of the best authentic Thai food in Perth. Busy but the staff is friendly. As much as I enjoyed the food, the takeaway experience has always been disappointing. Takeaway always took way too long (30mins+ even on a quiet day with many staff. Not sure what's going on. Would have given 5 stars if they had better time management. View all feedback.
What Crystel Schoen doesn't like about Taste of Thailand:
NOT WORHT MY MONEY!
We ordered 7 dishes two of which where ordinary jasmine rice came to around $95 for take away. The food was average we ordered MILD for everything and everything was HOT. The two curries had literally 5 pieces of meat and two bits of potato in it on that they where suppose to be different and tasted exactly the same. All the food came in small takeaway containers. Currently writing this review as our table of four is still waiting for three meals to arrive, near on 50 minutes after ordering with only 4 other tables in use. The restaurant is quiet. This is really frustrating and already, regardless of the food, we won't be returning. The vegetarian options are not actually vegetarian and the waitress couldn't explain to us why they are labelled this way on the menu. A terrible experience, as much as it pains me to say.

We had a date night dinner here last Tuesday evening. We didn't arrive there until almost 8pm but there was no hassle. There were only two other diners in the restaurant but take away meals were being picked up as we ordered. As usual he picked one entree and main and I picked another and we had the Thai Chill Basil Fried rice with chicken. Our entrees were the money bags and spring rolls. Both were fresh and hot, having been served quickly. He chose the masaman beef and I chose the satay chicken. Both were good but nothing really special. The service was prompt and friendly. With 2 glasses of wine, the total cost was just under $100, a bit more than we usually spend on date night.
I visited the Taste of Thailand Restaurant and ordered the Thai Curry Chicken with rice. The food was ok but the portion was small with very little chicken. This meal was not worth the massive $19.90 they charge. I will not return.
The dishes we had were yummy, tasted better than our regular Thai joint. But it's not THAT much better to justify the price difference. If they drop the price we will definitely be loyal customers no prob at all!!! But if not... We prob won't be back.. not good value for money.
