We dropped in to the pub for some food on our way home from a family day out. Whilst the menu selection was not extensive we still felt spoilt for choice (including vegetarian options) and a kids menu was also available. The service was excellent, and the wait for the freshly cooked food was well worth it – very tasty and well portioned. Visited with family on Tuesday as many of the restaurants in town were closed. The pub was almost empty apart of few locals. We ordered burgers, Mac’n’cheese and kids portion of f&c. What a nice surprise. Food was tasty, good size portions, lovely waitress. There is a small car park on the side of building. View all feedback.
Having run a pub myself and just come out the trade it has been the first mothers day dinner I have had in years. We came for Sunday lunch for mothers day. We had a very warm welcome very polite young man behind the bar. We had a lady in a wheelchair which they helped us get down the step. This is what I call an old school pub warm welcoming and cozy. A lovely fire lit at the top. Games for the children to play with. Nothing was to much trouble. Not to mention the lovely locals which were also welcoming. Some pubs you go to you can tell the locals and they make you not feel welcome. We'll not this one. I could not fault it. All I can say don't judge a book by it's cover you might just be pleasantly surprised. Great job owners and staff you make it a great pub
Absolutely amazing time here food was amazing the staff where so helpful an accommodating also friendly , and really good value for money an the range of beers and ales was great
Food was nice, finally some who can cook chips. Portions slightly small. Staff extremely welcoming Very dog friendly.
We had a wonderful dining experience tonight with exceptional service from all the staff. The Steak Pie was delicious and definitely worth a visit.
We chose this restaurant as a Christmas gathering spot with family members from different places. The staff greeted us warmly and were very hospitable, not rushing us at all. The food was reasonably priced and delicious. We would definitely consider meeting here again in the future.
