The Duncombe Arms Pub

We stayed and ate at the Duncombe Arms for my wife’s birthday. Excellent room and the dinner was delicious! The staff team were great and overall service/attention was pitched right for the type of property and what they are looking to achieve. Breakfast was great too, nice selection of “extras” to help yourself to and the hot dishes were superb quality. We will return!

Booked in for an overnight stay with dinner, bed and breakfast. Isnt it great when a venue exceeds your expectations. Form the moment we arrived the service was superb personal, efficient and genuine and from every member of staff. The food and drink was superb, both dinner and then breakfast. The room was great, warm, great views, well equipped and comfortable. Will be back for sure.

Visited several times previously, but on this occasion I was disappointed, the starter with poached egg was cold! The main course wasn't as hot as it should have been, the dessert was fine. Service was slow but adequate. Not VFM.

Absolutely excellent, the food, service and wine was second to none. The menu for the Christmas period is excellent and the taste just outstanding for the starters, mains and desserts. The red wine choice (2003 Bordeaux) was superb.
