Our daughter married at NYE 2020 and despite numerous beuls on the street with venues, Covid, etc. Dan der Kuchenmann was a constant and competent presence through everything. I shared pictures and discussed our wedding cake/coupcake vision with him and he came through totally! With numerous Cakemakers cake and Icings, we were able to adapt exactly what we wanted. The cake with several filling layers was a HUGE hit! Even non-cheek lovers loved it! The special order cupcakes were also perfect. Nice and delicious.. You're not sorry if you're going to the cake man with Dan!

I loved working with Dan, I came from Massachusetts to Tennessee and found this cake shop and he made a cake for my daughter second birthday it looked nice and tasted good the party made a hit!

Dan, was wonderful to work with. He sat down with us to discuss our vision for our cake. I'm African American and my husband is from Ghana West African. Our goal was to combine the two cultures. Dan provided plenty of samples for us and our friends and family to taste to make our final decision. Our Kente wedding cake was not only beautiful but simply devine.

We did a cake tasting with Dan today, and I was beyond impressed. The cakes were delicious, and Dan was so kind, warm, and personable. I have a very small guest list and he still spend a great deal of time going over details and making me feel just as important as the brides with much larger weddings. Wonderful cake and wonderful customer service. Cant wait to see the final wedding cake! Update: We finally had our wedding day! Our cake was absolutely stunning (and delicious). We chose the french vanilla almond with fresh strawberries and blueberries. Dan was a pleasure to work with. Thank you so much for making our wedding day so special with such a stunner of a cake!! We received so many compliments. You are THE BEST.

Dan made us the most delicious and beautiful cake for our wedding weekend. I was so impressed that he delivered exactly what I asked for even when COVID prevented me from being able to meet him in person. Not only was our cake gorgeous, delicious, and decorated with our florals, Dan also baked me a gluten free tier and gluten free cupcakes in addition to two traditional cake tiers. I was amazed and truly moved by Dan's commitment to his baking and to his customers, and I would recommend him to anyone who needs baked goods, for weddings or otherwise!
