After landing at Perth airport and finding way to the East Perth terminal I made my way to the transport centre to catch a TransWA coach to my next destination. I had a long wait so decided to have brunch and something to take for the trip. The cafe is open plan with the centre and has tables and seating to cater for the local workers and travellers. The offerings are a range of sandwich/ wrap style food as well as hot toasties and daily specials, and cakes, muffins tea coffee. Eat in or take away options. I ordered a pulled pork toastie with some chips and salad on the side and a giant muffin. Both were huge so I saved half for the mid trip comfort stop. The sweet/ sour sauce and combo in the toastie was delicious and full flavoured. The muffin light and fluffy and also delicious. I wasnt moved on even when they got more busy thank you. A hard working and capable team work here and produce a good range of food and drinks. Based on the regular client flow they have loyal regulars who appreciate their efforts and offerings. On my return to Perth I visited them again. Enjoy.
Visited here for breakfast this morning (Saturday) with my friend and her husband. My friend started work in this building a few weeks ago and recommended this restaurant. Last time I was here was about 35 years ago when a friend returned to Melbourne on the Indian Pacific train. Locals wouldn't normally visit to eat the restaurant caters for interstate train and longdistance intrastate rail/bus passengers. We enjoyed our meals, my friend had the egg spinach, her husband and myself ordered the tradies breakfast. The tradies breakfast was excellent nice and tasty. Our coffees were just right a good start to the day. Staff were friendly and service prompt. Plenty of parking, lots of seating the ground floor of the building has plenty of Western Australian railway history and memorabilia on display. Certainly recommended well worth venturing to this hidden gem even if you aren't heading off from the terminal.
If your waiting to depart of just arriving and want a bite to eat of a drink this is a good little café for that. There is a decent variety of food and drinks.
