Jaded Java - Feedback

Was Dave M at Jaded Java a mag?
I have been here several times recently. The prices are great compared to some other coffee shops around. My wife loves the chunky monkey blended coffee drink. It has peanut butter, bananas, and espresso. I have tried several drinks and they were all good. View all feedback.

Be sure to stop by and say hello to Tami and her team! And don't forget to enjoy a hot cup of coffee or hot chocolate!
The exterior of Jaded Java is quite modest, marked only by a green awning on an older brick and stucco building. However, the interior is surprisingly modern, featuring dark stone-colored tiles, a set of cozy chairs near the entrance, and a coffee and alcohol bar further back. The ceiling is open, showcasing the conduit and HVAC ductwork, while the lighting consists of single bulb fixtures hanging from the ceiling. The combination of the dark ceiling, a brick wall on one side, and beige-painted drywall on the other creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. Like many bars and restaurants in Illinois, Jaded Java has a section for video slot machines. While these slots seemed new and well-maintained, I wish Illinois would allow for land-based casinos to eliminate the need for these machines in cafes. Their presence disrupts the otherwise pleasant ambiance. After a brief conversation with the barista, I decided to order a hot chocolate. Once I got my drink, I found a somewhat comfortable chair behind the slot machines and settled in to read my book. The hot chocolate was quite good for just $2—I would gladly come back for it! It was rich and creamy, and I didn't burn my tongue after the first sip. The atmosphere was enhanced by the gentle music playing during my visit. Whoever chose the playlist had a knack for selecting light 70s and 80s tunes, including tracks from Led Zeppelin and The Beatles. The volume was just right for quiet conversations or reflection, which is exactly what I needed from a small café. I hope they keep up this delightful vibe. If Jaded Java were closer to my home in Bettendorf, I could see myself dropping by frequently. Unfortunately, it’s quite a distance away, so I probably won’t be back any time soon. However, if you’re looking for a cozy place to relax in East Moline during the afternoon, I recommend giving Jaded Java a try. Thanks for the excellent hot chocolate! **Vegetarian Options:** There wasn't much food available during my visit, but coffee, tea, and many pastries would certainly qualify as vegetarian. I wouldn’t come here specifically for a vegetarian meal, though. **Kid-Friendly:** I noticed families with young children visiting in the afternoon. While I wouldn’t suggest bringing them in the evening, the daytime environment was suitable for kids. **Parking:** There’s ample street parking right next to and across from the café, plus a free lot a few storefronts away.
I absolutely love this charming little spot! They serve great coffee and a nice selection of alcoholic beverages, including some unique mixed drinks. You definitely have to try the Jaded Russian!
Nice place. Friendly staff, pizza, good specials, hot coffee with a ton of flavors, drinks, pool. I could say more, but you’ve got to check it out for yourself!
Great service and staff..one of my favorite stops

This place is a fantastic concept, combining espresso and spirits! I love the variety of flavors they offer, and my personal favorite is the raspberry cheesecake. The staff is incredibly friendly, and there's a free pool table available too.
Jaded Java is a local coffee shop and pub with so much more to offer. The staff is top notch! The drinks are as varied as the people who frequent it! Then there is pool, darts and slots to boot. A little bit of something for everyone.
Refreshing stop right off the bike path with amazing service, food and prices!!
I don't have much reason to travel to East Moline most of the time. I was across the river and away from my normal stomping grounds around Bettendorf to get breakfast in Rock Island. After a great and filling breakfast I still wanted to relax for a bit with a hot beverage and do some reading. With that goal in mind, I made my way over to East Moline to check out Jaded Java and hopefully kick back for a time. The space occupied by Jaded Java is unassuming, to say the least. There's a green awning identifying the location in an otherwise older looking brick and stucco building. The interior is far more updated however, consisting of dark stone colored tile throughout the space, a series of comfy chairs right off the main entrance, and a coffee/alcohol bar further in. The ceiling is uncovered, allowing for full view of the conduit and HVAC ductwork run throughout. Lighting is provided by suspended single bulb fixtures spaced evenly throughout the space. In combination with the black ceiling, brick wall to one side and beige painted drywall on the other, the space has a certain dark, relaxing warmth to it. Like nearly every bar/restaurant in Illinois, this place also has a series of video slots in a space set aside for their use. Nothing against Jaded Java in particular, as the slots present here looked relatively new and clean, but I wish the state of Illinois could figure out how to allow land casinos and do away with this trend. The space is otherwise really nice, but like all other places that have these slot machines, their presence is a jarring and takes away from the overall ambiance. After a brief chat with the barista/bartender, I settled on a hot chocolate for my beverage. After securing the beverage, I found a semi comfy chair behind the slot machines and settled into reading my book for a little while. The hot chocolate was pretty good for the price of $2, I'd come back for this any day! It was rich, had some creaminess to it, and I didn't burn my tongue immediately after sipping it. The ambiance was further augmented by the quiet music playing at the time of my visit. Whoever was in charge of the music had light 70s 80s playing the entire time a mix of Led Zepplin, the Beatles, and other similar fare. It was at a volume conducive to quiet conversation and contemplation, exactly what I needed and wanted at the time from a small cafe. Keep doing this, it's a great overall functional vibe. If this place were closer to home in Bettendorf, I could envision stopping by here frequently. Alas, this is all the way over in East Moline, so I probably won't be stopping by again any time soon. If you want somewhere to sit and relax mid afternoon in East Moline, I'd recommend giving Jaded Java a try. Thanks for the great hot chocolate!
I absolutely love this place! The atmosphere and the people are fantastic, and the food is delicious. They have a pool, which adds to the fun when hanging out with friends.
