What 874annette007 doesn't like about Tyninghame Smithy:
The salad was heavily dressed with pesto, which seemed excessive in my opinion. My husband's tuna baguette was served with a dry bun and no butter, lacking in effort. We took our coffee and tea to go as we had a bus to catch. Unfortunately, my husband found the coffee to be bad and I found the tea to be too milky. The location of the restaurant was great though. This restaurant is consistently good, even when it's really busy the service is fast. The staff are friendly and really enhance the experience. It's also dog-friendly, which is a bonus.

The restaurant has a beautiful building with a warm fire and quick service. The home baked goods are delicious, but the coffee was a bit disappointing. I tried the scones this visit and will give the cakes a try next time. It would be nice if they also offered homemade jam.
I find the menu is everything you would want and more from a coffee shop..Very reasonably priced. Staff super efficient friendly and professional .. following all the Health and Safety rules.. Lovely welcoming staff and dog friendly,a great place to sit inside or outside.
Excellent spot for a meal. Even when crowded, the staff makes this place work. Best ham locally sourced that I have eaten in years! Don’t miss it!
