The White Hart - East Hertfordshire

I visited The White Hart on August bank holiday Monday after a long 10-mile walk. Instead of starting with an appetizer, my group and I opted for a main course with some shared sides, followed by dessert for two of us and coffee for the other member. We were not disappointed. The homemade battered onion rings and halloumi cheese bites were particularly impressive. My White Hart burger was huge and delicious, and I appreciated being able to choose between two types of fries. My friends both enjoyed the fish and chips, especially the curry sauce served in a small bowl and the mashed peas. The cheesecake and chocolate brownie for dessert were also excellent. The staff was friendly and attentive, making for a great dining experience. Luckily, the restaurant is only 100 yards from my house, so I will definitely be returning soon.

Decided to take a chance and stop for a cool drink-we were welcomed with open arms by a local and the Landlady and decided to try Sunday lunch. We wasn’t disappointed-it was delicious and a huge portion and cooked superbly. It’s a 45 minute drive from us in London but definitely worth it and we will return

Such a perfect village pub! Really lovely food, very friendly staff and reasonably priced! Highly recommend give it a go!

Sunday lunch, the meat wasn’t great, chewy and fatty, covered with gravy. Staff weren’t friendly and landlady has that fixed,false smile. If you are a family steer clear.

Very friendly and informative staff. The food was scrumptious and the service excellent whilst the pub itself is nicely decorated.
