John Maria's Pizzeria - East Haven

We were here for a gathering after an event. The appetizers, broccoli rob and sausage, antipasto, calamari etc were excellent, service great and drinks from the bar were excellent. Great place to!

First time in this restaurant, I was greeted the atmosphere excellent. The food was very good, but more than anything the waitress. Her Name was Blake. I will consider her. Service as a waitress as a number 10. I will bring my family and some of my friends here. And the food I ordered was not expensive. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

This is a great place to go with family and friends traditional Italian food modestly priced entrees sandwiches subs you got to go.

We are regulars at Modern, Zuppardi's, etc...we know good pizza. We had heard good things about J&M so we gave them a shot today since it was a little closer to home and the traffic was thick on 95S. We ate in, not take out. The restaurant was clean and the service was great but..... I won't sugar coat it. This was the worst pizza I've eaten in 20 years, maybe longer. We tried a traditional plain, a mozzarella and a sausage and hot cherry pepper being our first time here. Three smalls. The crust had the rise, taste and consistency of a stale cracker, that's the closest thing we could compare it to. Zero crunch and no flavor. The sauce and the cheese were good. The sausage was ok, a bit too granular and lacked any fennel flavor. I honestly can't say I've ever had a worse pizza experience including places like Domino's and Papa John's in my 51 years of eating pizza.

Jen is an amazing server and a great person my family and I had GREAT time last night!
