What User doesn't like about Robert's Lakehouse:
It is very sad to see this place close but even sadder that so much money is owed to employees over month salary to many. Hopefully someone new will take over the lease and reopen for spring. View all feedback.
I really enjoyed the happy hour menu at your restaurant. It's great to see that you have found your groove. Best of luck and continued success! I can't wait to return!
This was my first time visiting Roberts and I was impressed with the service. I started off with the clam chowder, which was delicious, and the focaccia bread served at the table was also very tasty. For my main course, I ordered the fish sandwich, which was good and came out hot. However, the fries were lukewarm and limp, and the coleslaw lacked seasoning. My husband ordered the surf and turf, which consisted of stuffed shrimp and prime rib. The stuffed shrimp had a strange sweet taste and the prime rib was lukewarm. The wine we ordered was not good, so I would recommend choosing a bottled beer instead. The live band playing that night was extremely loud, making it difficult to have conversations at our table. Despite wanting to support a local business, I don't think I will be returning for another meal due to the mediocre quality and high prices.
I ordered the seafood platter, but they were out of clam strips so they gave me extra shrimp instead. The fish on the platter was undercooked. They offered a complimentary dessert. The waitress was friendly, but our food came out in two separate batches with a delay in between. Despite the small number of people at our table, service was slow.
We had a celebration luncheon upstairs for 40 people. Heather couldn 't have been more accommodating with my meal selection and dietary needs. The food was delicious. The wait staff was courteous and efficient. The open bar was full of generous pours , as one of my guests put it. My guests were very happy and complimentary of the event. I would go back there in a heartbeat with a large party. (NOT the same old Angelico 's!!!!
I've been a resident of Marlborough for almost two years now, but somehow only just discovered Robert's LakeHouse. Stopped by on a rainy, gloomy evening without a reservation the place was packed, but we were able to sit at a high top in the bar. There was live music with a few people dancing; I wasn't expecting such a lively scene but it was definitely a lot of fun! I'm recently sober and I've been finding that it's hard to find a decent selection of non alcoholic beers when dining out, but the bar at Robert's had that new Sam Adams NA IPA which is amazing! The cool brew hit the spot and paired perfectly with my Fish Chips. My date went for the Captain's Platter and everything tasted fresh. We also split an order of the Crispy Brussel sprouts they were good, as expected. Portions were generous enough for both of us to leave full and have leftovers for lunch the next day. The fun atmosphere (love live music, especially after Covid! , fresh seafood, and that local town kinda vibe earns Robert's LakeHouse my vote as the best restaurant to go out on a date around here! Looking forward to coming back again!
