Bel Mare - East Hampton

Take out was perfect. Order was prepared very well, portion size left nothing to complain about, prices were reasonable for the Hamptons. Best of all, the food was uniformly delicious! A great local gem!

My family and I were visiting the Hampton for the weekend and decided to try out Bel Mar since the food looked amazing and the reviews were good. We had called to place an order for delivery and the lady on the phone was extremely rude. Once we received our food we realized we were missing 2 orders so I decided to call back and the same lady was giving me a hard time saying that 2 orders were delivered then she realized the orders were still at the restaurant and offered to have them sent out. At this point I just wanted a refund so I had asked her to give me a refund and what her name was. She said she would give me a refund and hung up without stating her name. I had called back asking why did she hang up on me and she apologized. She finally stated her name was Madison and I had asked for a receipt in the event of not receiving my refund. Madison was extremely unprofessional and I would not want to recommend anyone visiting the Hampton to go to this establishment if the customer service is always this rude.

We ordered for Mother's Day and it took forever for the food to arrive and Uber was waiting forever and then we get the food and one dinner is missing. The food was good but we had to heat up everything we ordered which wouldn't have been bad but by the time it came we were starving. Maybe one day I'll venture in and see if we have a better experience going in person but this first time was a bit disappointing.

My husband and I had take out this evening from Bel Mare. As always the food was excellent. Everything was fresh, hot and delicious. We love this place and the bonus is, the family that owns and runs Bel Mare are the nicest! We highly recommend.
