A visit to Sidmouth is not complete if you do not dine at Neil's Restraunt. The quality of the seafood served, the friendlness of the staff and ambience I would describe as second to none, Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Really want to like this place but the cooking is a bit average. E.g. the side of potatoes with each meal are deep fried roast potatoes. Very strange dish.
Absolutely first class in every aspect, a great night. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Recommended dishes: Summer Fruit Pudding, Brixham Lemon Sole, Country Crab Mango Salad
This restaurant was fantastic! Each course was expertly prepared and beautifully presented. The variety of dishes we tried were all outstanding. The service was exceptional, with both female servers being polite, friendly, and efficient.
We were fortunate to secure an early midweek reservation at this restaurant, as the next available table was several days away. This establishment is highly sought after in the area, and I recommend making a reservation well in advance. While the atmosphere is that of a formal restaurant, the service is laid-back and relaxed. The food is top-notch, although during our visit the menu consisted of a set 3-course meal. However, the menu is updated daily. We enjoyed monkfish tails and melon for starters, followed by John Dory fillet and whole Brixham sole for the main course. Both dishes were outstanding. The desserts were also delicious. The bill was quite reasonable considering the quality of the food and service. If I am ever in the area again, I would definitely return to this restaurant.
