Booked to the birthday of my hubbys, have read reviews and so glad I did it! all staff are beautiful, brilliant service, eating was simply delicious (we both had Nepalese specialties,) the wine list very cheap and very good, the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly and the background music (relaxing blues) all made for a good evening. we look forward to our next visit!
I had heard that this restaurant had changed the hands, so we decided to give the new team a chance. it was excellent. since the team behind the restaurant (I think) is Nepalese, I concentrated on dishes from nepal. they were excellent. my partner chose a wider Indian choice and said that their dishes were just as good. the staff was very helpful and friendly. we had a long talk with the owner who was fascinated by nepal and his connections to the gurkhas. definitiw recommended.
A most unusual combination of dishes and great flavour in the Gurker curry I had. Good location just off the centre of Exmouth. My only negative was the cost of all the food was very high and no justification for the high price. My advice is that they review their menu and offer the same meals for under £10.
Booked through you , next day I phoned The Namaste Himalaya stating that we needed a ground floor table, as my wife is disabled , this was agreed over the phone , when we arrived we were told that we had to upstairs ,as my disabled wife cannot climb stairs , We then had to go home with family from Hampshire with out eating , as this time of the year we could not find any were to eat , this did not go down with visiters
Having taken several people here in the past 6 months, universally the feedback has been glowing. A massively varied menu encompassing some Nepalese, Chinese and Indian cuisine. The restaurant is basic, don’t let that put you off, the food is excellent, and plentiful. Having lived in London, midlands, have eaten at a lot of curry houses and this one is at the summit (Everest joke!!
