Lacemakers Cafe - East Devon
Lacemakers Cafe
Description
Lacemaker Café in Honiton offers a delightful atmosphere, with friendly staff and a dog-friendly policy that appeals to many visitors. While some patrons rave about the excellent homemade soups and delightful cream teas, others express disappointment over limited menu options and occasional food quality issues, particularly at breakfast. Concerns regarding cleanliness and adherence to Covid regulations have also been noted. Despite these inconsistencies, many loyal customers recommend the café for its local ingredients and generous portions, particularly praising the full English breakfast. Overall, Lacemaker creates a charming experience, though it may vary from visit to visit.

Lovely Sunday roast although could have done with some cream or custard with the lemon meringue pie for pud'.
What a lovely place amazing friendly staff nothing too difficult. We actually popped in on a Sunday and had a Sunday roast which seemed very popular with the locals . The good was very nice , it’s defiantly worth them being open on a Sunday as it was very nice . We will definatly return .
The staff are very friendly here the locals full of conversation. It was great we could take the dog with us. Unfortunately most things we tried to order, they didn’t have. How can you run out of bread at breakfast time??!! The sausage was the worst I’ve seen, so tough over cooked you’d have needed a steak knife to cut it. I was reassured by the ladies on the table next to us the Sunday roast is nicer than the rest of the food.
