Description

Hughsies Café in Seaton presents a mixed bag of experiences that leave patrons divided. While some diners praise the delicious food, cleanliness, and attentive service, others recount uncomfortable interactions with staff, citing a lack of warmth and engagement. The café's atmosphere has been likened to a library, and food quality, at times, fails to impress. Despite these contrasts, many loyal customers appreciate the commitment to hygiene and enjoy returning for their favorite meals. As a local establishment, it offers a cozy option for visitors, but prospective diners might want to tread carefully, reading between the lines of conflicting reviews.

Huggies café Seaton Devon, fab place for great food and drink. Great hygiene, service and choice to choose from Great food quantities and all cooked fresh. Located on the high street drop in!

What a disgusting cafe. The woman who served us needs to go into some therapy. Customer service training badly needed. Because of the attitude we looked at the menu which wasn't inviting. And we were shuffed onto a table which was crammed next to another table. In order to get as many people in as possible I suppose. We just left not out type of place too. Low class wasn't clean and the staff were disgusting. How they make any money goodness knows.

I stumbled into this cafe, and the atmosphere was as lively as a library on a Monday morning. The lady behind the counter seemed to have mistaken smiles for endangered species, as not a single one graced her face. The sausage bap had the charm of a cardboard sandwich, and the taste lingered in my mouth like a distant memory of regret. The fish and chips tasted like they had been rescued from the frozen aisle of Iceland – a flavor experience akin to licking a postage stamp. This standard of fish and chips for a cafe on a seaside town is unacceptable! If misery and mediocrity had a culinary lovechild, it would be this cafe.

I visited this restaurant today for breakfast and I have never felt so unwelcome from the moment we walked in. The staff, or perhaps even the owner, made it clear that they did not want customers in their establishment. Everything seemed like an effort to serve us, and the lady who served us was rude and appeared as though she did not want to be there. When we made simple requests for breakfast, we were met with an attitude that made us feel unwanted. Overall, this was not a welcoming place to go and I will not be returning or recommending it to anyone.
