Fantastic pub with delicious cocktails, incredibly welcoming staff, fantastic atmosphere, ample parking, and pet-friendly.
This restaurant appears to be mostly frequented by regulars and only serves Palmers beer. Unfortunately, the one I sampled was not to my liking. The hostess did not make us feel very welcome, so we quickly finished our drinks and left.
The service was excellent and the food was delicious. The staff went above and beyond to make sure myself, my wife, and our friends had a great experience. We would definitely dine here again. Thank you.
What a nice little pub with a dog friendly beer terrace at the rear. The landlord was helpful and friendly and the beer was great. Not really a place for food but the crisps were good.
I had read a few reviews about this being a locals pub. Yes it is, these guys keep the pub going all year round while us out of towners drop in occasionally. However, a warm welcome awaits all and we were treated as one of the gang. We had kids with us, so rang in advance and were told their license only permits under 18s until 7pm. No problem, I dont want to hang out with the minis after 7 anyway. This place has really thought about the whole Covid thing and you really feel safe. The barmaid was really friendly and helpful and drinks are reasonably priced. Yes it's a drinkers pub but its owned by Palmers who know how to produce and look after their ale. Give it a go, its non pretentious, warm and welcoming. What's not to love?!
