read moreNestled in Ely’s vibrant market square, the Lemon Tree Cafe offers a delightful array of sandwiches, smoothies, and delicious homemade cakes, including a standout millionaire shortbread. Guests appreciate the variety of clearly marked vegan options and accommodating service for dietary restrictions. However, inconsistent service experiences have been reported, with some patrons noting unfriendly staff interactions that detracted from the otherwise charming atmosphere. While the cafe boasts excellent coffee and outdoor seating, improvements in staff responsiveness and consideration for customers' needs could enhance the overall experience. Still, many affirm its status as a hidden gem worth returning to.
