The food is amazing , the shoulder lamb was falling apart - my daughter who never touches lamb ate it and loved it and cannot wait to go again. The linguine pasta is awesome and we usually get takeaway for this as well. The only downside they dont book tables for less than 4 ppl. Definitely going again - the chef is good and mixes & matches. What Ян Крюков doesn't like about The Woods Cafe & Deli:
Been coming here since it opened. Food is excellent, the coffee is not the best. Never has been great, it's a 3 out of 5. But it was made up for by the food and service. And that's where the problem lies these days, service. They used to be great but seem a little tainted these days, not all just a couple. However they ruining it for all. They talk about customers behind their backs in view of other customers and hav... View all feedback.
Not appetizing, service was very poor, quality of food unworthy the price.decor a little depressing, over all experience unpleasnt.
Staying in Canterbury with family I happened upon this place on William Street when out to buy a paper. Open early, service with a smile, cool music playing. Didn't eat there today but saw evidence of nice muffins, croissants etc behind the counter. Good, strong cappucino at $3.50 was a steal (def coffee connoiseurs).
We were shooed away after arriving for brunch today being told there were no tables & since we hadn't booked by the rudest person I have ever metI have been coming here for years and always experienced great service & foodand am in total shock by how rude the staff at the front counter was today - I am still in shock - will be seriously rethinking getting coffee or having brunch or anything else during the week here again
We returned to our old neighbourhood in Sydney after living for some time abroad. We were introduced to this local cafe by some foodie friends. Loved it the first time we went! The food is great and we love the people there! It is now opened on Friday and Saturdays for dinner.
This 'cafe' is hiding in Clemton Park/Earlwood... the owners have made this a gem to seek out. The chef - we asked - used to work at Rockpool... and the five-star quality, freshness and presentation has clearly been transferred to here! It is stunning food for a suburban eatery! We had about 14 of us there for a friends' birthday - and had a range of mixed entrees - all of which tasted amazing and looked stunning! I can't tell you what we had - I think we had everything available. All of the entrees tasted easily as good as they looked! We had grilled salmon for mains, others had a range of the other dishes. A simple test = all plates were empty! The salmon was cooked to perfection... and they asked how we wanted it and brought it out as ordered (often salmon gets overcooked no matter what you ordered!).Most people go here for coffees and small foods (eg cakes and sandwiches) - and these are great, too. But the evening dinner menu is where this place stands head and shoulders above most other places - it is that good! It deserves more than 5/5 as it is such a high quality eating experience... and when 14 people say it was one of the best meals they've ever had, you know it's a winner! We're going back!
