Nice food served by nice staff. It was a bit noisy when we arrived but that was because the Women's World Cup match was on at the time. We were able to find a nice quiet spot in the garden bar. View all feedback.

I so want this pub to succeed .. especially after recent unfortunate forced closure .. and I expected that Mothers Day would be excellent ! What a chance for the pub to show itself at its best ! The Sunday roast at this place was terrible. The roast potatoes were undercooked and it took over 45 minutes to get our desserts. It completely ruined Mother's Day for us.
The food is always of good quality, the staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming. The drinks and food are served promptly and there is a good selection of beers. The prices for both food and drinks are very reasonable. I am happy to be a regular customer here!
I really wanted this pub to succeed, especially after a recent unfortunate forced closure. I had high expectations for Mother's Day, hoping it would be excellent! It was a great opportunity for the pub to shine, but unfortunately, the food was a major disappointment. It seemed like the oven wasn't working properly, as we were served large boiled potatoes instead of roasted ones, and the vegetarian wellington had uncooked pastry. The food took a long time to arrive as well. To make matters worse, we found plastic in the Eton mess dessert. I heard that new cooks are on the way, but basic things like cooking a roast potato should not be a challenge. We received an apology and complimentary desserts, but I was so let down by how dreadful our Mother's Day Sunday lunch turned out to be. I will not be recommending this place or dining here again.
Our friends recently shared a dreadful Christmas experience at the Grosvenor, and regretfully, I now wish I had paid more attention. Despite our intention to support a local pub, our family visit turned into a disappointment. It took two and a half hours to receive our main and dessert, and no one bothered to take our drink orders. The limited gluten-free option, a 'naked burger, ' was unappetizing – a defrosted patty on wilted lettuce and tomatoes with no dressing. The overall food quality left much to be desired, and the nonexistent service required us to clear our own table. Even the kids ' lunch arrived on scalding plates. To cap it off, the women 's restroom lacked toilet paper on Mother 's Day.
A very mediocre Sunday lunch. Nicely presented but barely warm and the roast potatoes were anaemic and tough round the edges. The vegetarian meal seemed to be a combination of the 2 menu options but was OK. The desserts were supposed to be served with vanilla ice cream, instead it was chocolate chip. Will not return, there are too many other decent places to eat.
