We stopped at this small roadside stand on our way back from the Wolf Centre and found the food to be beyond expectations. We each had a bacon cheeseburger that was as tasty as it was juicy and the fries are done to perfection - crispy on the outside, hot and mushy on the inside. It was a pleasant surprise to have such a delicious meal at a roadside stand. View all feedback.

I strongly advise against visiting Simon's Prime. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. My group was so engrossed in conversation that we failed to notice how terrible everything was until after we finished our meal. View all feedback.
I love this restaurant for their delicious burgers and tasty poutine. It's nothing fancy, but perfect for a satisfying and affordable lunch.

My wife and I decided to grab a couple of burgers at this place, and the first thing we noticed was how dirty it was inside! I should take some pictures and share them here.
Poutine is pretty much a staple on a lot of menus these days ... but Lainy's does RINGTINE, which takes poutine to the next level. Same as poutine except with onion rings in lieu of french fries -- and really tasty!Used to think their fish & chips was the best in the area ... but they're now second place to the Cookhouse at Haliburton Forest. Still really good though! Also love the fact that milkshakes are all made with local Kawartha Dairy ice cream (legendary in the area). The Snack Shack is a yummy little stop, much appreciated by locals and cottagers alike.
Just returned from a short camping trip in Haliburton. I am convinced determined that Lainy's is one of the best Fish and Chips places in Ontario. Who knew that West Guilford, a small village about 12 kms west of the town of Haliburton had such delicious fish. Nice light batter with dill and other spices. Excellent job on the haddock so that it was very moist and delicious (cooked from fresh fillets). French Fries/Chips also were very good. I also enjoyed a very delicious (and huge in size) chicken burger topped with hot peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, mustard, and dill pickles. We capped off our lunch with delicious Kawartha Dairy ice cream cones.
