Great spot for pizza (delicious) and snacks! Noe was our waiter and he was awesome, very friendly and informative of menu. We loved the love family/home vibe and can’t wait to go back!
Had a great experience there, missing my favorite waitress but the service is still great none the less , I will be back often
Our experience at this restaurant was unfortunately marred by the treatment we received from Heather, the hostess. She appeared to be a middle-aged woman with an undercut, and her demeanor left much to be desired. My sister and I walked in with smiles, eager to try a new place for takeout, but Heather responded with a deadpan and passive-aggressive attitude that immediately put us on edge. We chose to sit close to her reception booth while she attended to other customers. I started to feel uncomfortable, a sentiment echoed by my sister who suggested that I should handle the ordering since she sensed that Heather wasn’t fond of her. When Heather finally approached us after finishing with other diners, I expected her to take our order, but instead, she asked us to stand up and maneuver five inches to her booth to place it. After informing her that we wanted four large pizzas, she appeared visibly annoyed and repeatedly asked me to clarify my order, as if the term "pies" was unfamiliar in a pizza restaurant. When I inquired about the wing order size, she abruptly shifted her focus away from me and blandly stated that the number of wings depended on the size of the chicken. This was not the answer I needed. To top it off, she later asked me to step back from her booth because she felt I was encroaching on her space. While I was barely touching the booth, I found it odd that someone in her position would make such a request. After we processed the bizarre interactions, she further irritated us by insisting we move to a different table because she didn’t want the door to hit us when it opened. This came off as passive-aggressive rather than genuine concern. As my sister tried to maintain a positive attitude, I observed how Heather engaged with other customers, who received friendly small talk and attentive service—everything I had expected for us as well. It was disheartening to notice that my sister and I were the only non-white patrons in the restaurant, and this was the first time in my years here that I had to think about my race in a mundane scenario like ordering takeout. Despite multiple thanks from my sister and me, Heather never responded with a simple "you’re welcome." In fact, there were times when my sister even bowed in appreciation, but it went unnoticed. The overall atmosphere felt as if we were unwelcome intruders. To Heather: maybe it’s time to reconsider your career choice. Hosting at a pizza place should involve making every guest feel welcome, not causing them to feel uneasy or bringing race into the equation. For anyone who is not Caucasian thinking about visiting this establishment when Heather is on duty, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
I recently ordered takeout from Mofo with my family, and sadly, our experience was quite unpleasant. While Heather, the hostess, seemed polite and attentive to other customers, she treated my family very differently, indicating a lack of cultural sensitivity. When we asked simple questions about the menu, she was dismissive and rude; her responses were short, and she clearly appeared annoyed by our presence. At one point, she even waved us away, claiming my uncle was too close to her. While we appreciate the need for personal space, her reaction felt overly harsh and unprofessional. It’s disappointing to encounter such behavior in what should be a warm and welcoming place. This experience has left a bad impression, and we will not be returning in the future. Customer service should be consistent and respectful for everyone, and it's apparent that improvements are needed in this area. Later, when I called to speak with a manager, Heather insisted I talk to her since no one else was available. Rather than being apologetic, she was confrontational with me. On a positive note, the pizza was decent, but the mozzarella sticks could really use some better seasoning.
We’ve been to Mofo’s in the past and everybody has liked the pizza. Tonight we ordered both medium BBQ chicken pizza and meat lovers pizza. This time they were spectacular. The crust was crisp underneath and bubbly along the edges. The toppings were hot and the cheese was extra stretchy. Both pizzas came out in record time. Way to go, Mofo’s! We love you!
