Contribute Feedback What DanielC doesn't like about Le Petit Opus - Hotel Omni Mont-Royal:
From what was advertised and their menu, there was very little for the cold buffet. The prepared meals were ok overall. Service was great but not worth it your looking for buffet. If you have time to walk sound Montreal, I’d recommend to look around and see what else there is. Overall, it was ok. View all feedback.
Really a good restaurant in the hotel great staff. the menu is diverse and daring good we stayed there for 4 days and various meals through our stay.
We recently enjoyed an evening meal, a rib eye steak that was quite delicious. a thing that bends me is that it lists the daily special on the menu in a specially designed box. $25 is listed above, near the Pasta Special. the other...2 meat specialties are right below. one would assume by looking at the specials box that all 3 meal times would be $25 per, right? No, if the bill came, the meat specialists were $31. ie had the rib-eye steak, which was delicious and tender. mine, on the other side, med-well came instead of something pink. the attentive server brought him back to the kitchen, ie ate his meal and about 10 minutes later my steak came out. this time it was perfect and they gave me the stripe steak because they had run out of the rib eye. delicious. vegs and kartoffels quite generous portions. So, I think they need to think new as they have the specials and list all the prices on, not just the lowest price in. I thought that would be deceptive advertising, cost us an extra $12 tax and tipp. service was good, attentive and friendly. not complaining here.
They have a really good breakfast buffet here, but it is expensive at $25/pp on the plus side the service is fantastic and small children eat free. the croissants were especially good here.
My man and I ate twice in the le petite opus cafe, because we were in the omni. once for breakfast and once for dinner. breakfast was convenient, fast, decent eating, good service. the evening was unpleasant we were literally the only ones to gleam. the place soouo strange. eating was okay, but it just felt uncomfortable. Being in a busy hotel, I don't understand why they don't have business anymore. odd. I'd have breakfast there again, but I doubt that I'm going to go to dinner again.
Wanted a nice dinner out for our last night in town. It was absolutely delicious! We each ordered the table d’Hote with the wine pairings. We both started with the lobster bisque. I had the steak which was prepared to perfection as were all the...vegetables. My daughter had the pasta option. We both finished with cheese plates. The portions were quite generous for each course perhaps a bit too generous! The cheeses were divine. Also, the service was excellent. Such a lovely find.
