Food was excellent just a couple of minutes from downtown in Griffintown very close to grinders. French bistro. Wine list was fair .service was excellent will go back View all feedback.
What Dillan Yundt doesn't like about Code Ambiance:
Normal service Good quality of ingredients but the garniture needs to have more variety ( we got so many little potato's...Poor ambiance for a place that bares the name...A good place overall but overrated! You could eat same or better in a very nice and elegant restaurant in downtown.Suggest to go inside first and then decide to go for dinner.Good luck! View all feedback.
Service was very nice and we enjoyed eating. I think the price is too reasonable.
Eating was imaginative and tasty. plating very attractive. good jazz in the background. very helpful and animated. a bit expensive, but back.
Eating is really good and original. I will definitely go back:
Our waitress (who said she only works on Fridays spent the entire meal laughing at me each time I made a request. She seemed very uncomfortable and said that she could not make any of the drinks on the menu (Except for the Gin and Tonic. When her friend came into the restaurant for a visit (not sure who the visitor was, she was talking loudly behind a curtain with our waitress though as we ate a few feet away , she spent at least 5 minutes talking rather than bringing me my drink I had ordered prior. When we expressed our displeasure with the service , she argued with me and said that I was a rude customer. Never been treated so poorly by a waitress in my life. Food was OK, but for the price, you could get much better service going to a less costly alternative such as the Burgundy Lion (or even a chain like the Keg!
Overall excellent place. Great food and service. A real treat. One of the best places we've been to in a while. The onion soup was amazing!!
