What Joana Feest doesn't like about au coin Berbère:
Basic menu and food. Not representative of the North African rich variety of dishes. The only thing that was really tasty was the bread but you have to pay for it. Weir’d.The only waiter is overwhelmed.Overall quite disappointing View all feedback.
The food is absolutely delicious and the portions are quite generous. We sampled the Table d’hôte, which was outstanding. The service was attentive and welcoming. Overall, it offers excellent value for money. The restaurant has a calm atmosphere and the lighting is just right.
We ordered eggplant caviar, bulgur wheat soup, chickpeas with cumin, and vegetable couscous. Unfortunately, the eggplant caviar lacked the rich flavor we were hoping for. The soup was enjoyable, and the chickpeas with cumin were quite good. The vegetable couscous was decent but nothing special. There was only one server for multiple tables, but he was attentive throughout our meal.
This review might be a bit influenced by a power outage in the neighborhood during our meal. Nevertheless, the staff quickly provided candles, allowing us to keep enjoying our food. They successfully served our entire order since they use gas in the kitchen, and the quality and flavor of the food were outstanding. We highly recommend trying the cumin olives as an appetizer; the unique flavor from the cumin was delightful, and we’ll definitely try to recreate it at home.
I had a reservation, but when we got to the restaurant, it was closed.
