Our experience at the restaurant was exquisite and artistic. Chef Yamazushi's eight-course menu was thoughtfully designed, expertly prepared, and delicious. As a bonus, the assorted ceramics from the chef added a tasty touch to the meal. Yamazushi truly lives up to its reputation as the most authentic Japanese kitchen in the area. View all feedback.
Very high reviews for communication, customer service and quality. from the second you enter the restaurant you feel as tho, you are halfway around the world. you lose in the food/decor. each dish served was visually appealing, fresh and tasty. this is once in a life experience and would recommend it. it is more of an experience than anything else. be ready for a long wait to make a reservation and for smaller portions than most are accustomed. the price is also high, but it is not a place where they often eat and the experience is worth it.
What an experience! They are so nice and put so much thought into the process. The chef made all the plates (and I suspect lots of the decor too). You get to have a variety of Japanese food. The flavors are so delicate. Def worth the wait and is a gem!
Fabulous meal in an environment crafted to be thoughtful and intentional down to the very last detail. What a wonderful way to celebrate a birthday.
Just wonderful. I’ve been to several kaiseki restaurants in NYC and Tokyo and this one compares favorably. The wagashi was maybe the best I’ve tasted. Go for the sake pairing, it’s worth it. Service is impeccable. Wonderful NC treasure.
Wonderful experience and fantastic food. Everything was fresh with since parts even coming from the chef's garden.
