many thanks for their fast service, great staff and delicious food! that was my first visit to an oncle julio and I can say that I am back. I ordered the salmon and it was perfectly cooked. it has paired nicely with the Mexican rice and pinto beans. reviewing this review has already thought about the planning of my next visit. I came here on a whim because I’d gone to Southpoint so many times and walked past without going in. When we entered, we had to wait 15 minutes before we were seated even though there were plenty of tables open. We had two servers, which was confusing, and even drinks took maybe 10 minutes to come out. We both ordered chicken fajitas, and it took over 50 minutes for the food to be ready. We didn’t get cutlery either... View all feedback.
We had the best waiter, Michael. He was super attentive and friendly. Thank Goodness the person who was suppose to wait on us decided to leave without telling anyone. I have to also send a shout out to our table side guacamole server, Nate. That was the best guacamole I’ve ever had!
I was taken to a seat very quickly, and a big bowl of chips and salsa were brought. This was probably some of the best salsa I've tasted. The chips were warm, fresh, and crunchy. I emptied the salsa bowl!I ordered the tex mex combination dinner. When it arrived, the plate was very full. The beef taco was okay, and the chicken enchilada was good, but the chicken was a bit dry for my taste. The beef enchilada was very good. It would have been easier to eat if I had a knife, but the servers were so busy I couldn't get their attention.5 stars for food, due to the salsa and generous portions. 4 stars for service they were very nice but overworked.Parking: Mall parking, so depends on the day. I was there on a Thursday night and parking was very crowded. I did find a spot though.
When I arrived a few minutes before the rest of my party, the hostess did not mention a waitlist. Once my son arrived, we asked to be seated and were then told there was a 15 minute wait. After we were seated and ordered, our waitress never returned to our table, even though she walked by several times. Someone else brought us our food, and no one checked on us or refilled our water glasses.
Our waiter was friendly, he started us out with complimentary tortilla chips salsa. Restaurant has a nice atmosphere. Food tasted good.
Great food, open space for big groups, good service. We celebrated husbands birthday there and had to open their unique chocolate Pinata filled with fruits and churros. I ordered it prior to dinner to enjoy it fully. We were 6 people, and were not able to finish it.Food: 5/5
