Taqueria Mi Pueblo - Durham

The chorizo tacos at this restaurant are excellent. The homemade chips are a bit thicker and undersalted for my taste, but the salsa bar offers a great variety of options to choose from.

Do not worry, the menu offers English translations and the staff is extremely friendly! The food is amazing, especially the lengua tacos which are the best I've ever had. The portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and the self-serve chips with a variety of salsas and toppings are a nice touch. Just be careful, some of the salsas are very spicy!

The restaurant had fantastic food, a wonderful atmosphere, great music, friendly people, and excellent service. However, the only downside was a deer staring at me while I ate, which was quite creepy. The highchair we used didn't have buckles, but it was still functional.

I had the flour quesadilla with their pork for the meat and it was amazing. My friend had their Bistec and I took a bite of it and it was nice and tender. Next time i go i plan on ordering their tacos, but if their quesadilla was any indication, the tacos will be a hit as well.

Very first Mexican restaurant that appeared around 20 years ago, still there and still makes the best Mexican food in Durham, the food it's tasty. I am not Mexican, but all my Mexican friends love this place, they all claim it to be the most authentic Mexican food around. Try it.
